Putting aside all the 4 and 5 star local reviews, my purpose here is to give the general public considering this gym an HONEST view on it. Speaking from someone who frequents an anytime fitness near by, I have been going to this gym about once or twice a week for over two years now. Here is what this gym will truly give you in terms of overall experience.
Less than average. It is actually painful for me to say this because I absolutely love Anytime Fitness. But this is what this gym will undoubtedly be to the majority of commercial gym goers in this area. It's a shame that seemingly over 300 thousand dollars of equipment in this gym will leave you feeling worse than before you ever even had a gym membership. The reason for this? THE COMMUNITY. Do you enjoy men in their mid twenties/early thirties taking up half of the free weight section screaming and slamming weights around in a commercial gym? Then this is definitely the gym for you. The worst part is that these same people making this gym a nightmare are BEFRIENDING the staff so you can forget any chance of reformation/action being taken on this matter. Along side this is a forming community where young women are also encouraging this behavior by conforming to this immature practice in this gym. The staff is normally excellent. Very friendly and extremely well educated and organized. Yet sadly all of this means little when the majority of people going to this gym regret ever stepping foot inside. One might say you could have had a better time sitting in Avon's rush hour traffic than arriving here.
My advice?
Either embrace this yelling/slamming and cater to this audience or go the opposite way.
The awkward mix of calm/casual commercial gym goers and screaming men in their mid twenties/thirties is absolutely atrocious.
Sorry to say,
