Dr. Bozic was a lifesaver for our daughter. She was incredibly difficult when it came to teeth brushing, clamping her mouth shut tightly and thrashing. We tried every method in the book to brush her teeth with very limited success, and it usually took two of us. Most pediatric dentists in the area would not allow us to come back with her. We took her to one such dentist who, minutes later, was heard yelling for help as our daughter did her thing. They eventually brought me back and they were forcing her into a papoose board and using a clamp to force her mouth open (getting part of her lip in the clamp with her teeth.) Our two year old was literally foaming at the mouth in hysteria. Never again. I called around for a pediatric dentist that allowed parents to be with the child during appointments. Dr. Bozic's office not only allowed it, they wanted you to be there. When we walked into his "Monkey Room" for the first time - the walls are literally covered with stuffed monkeys of all shapes and sizes so that hardly an inch of wall can be seen - our daughter's mouth dropped open and he went right to work. I don't think she even realized her teeth were being cleaned. His quick, down to business manner was absolutely perfect for her. After that, she looked forward to her visits to "the monkey doctor," as she called him. Later, he noticed unusual staining on our preschool son's teeth. I had felt he still had reflux, which our pediatrician had dismissed, saying he would have outgrown it. Dr. Bozic recommended we investigate it further because the stains were not the kind you would see from lack of tooth brushing. We went to a specialist and sure enough, our 4 year old son had grade C ulcers in his esophagus and stomach from reflux. We no longer live in Indiana, but I will always be grateful to Dr. Bozic for his work with our kids.
