I advise anyone to google "Should I invest with Edward Jones?" before opening an account with any advisor. I wish I had. Thankfully we didn't lose more than about $800 with all of the fees through Harold (could have been a lot worse). The fee structure is ridiculous compared to Vanguard or Charles Schwab. They also get you coming and going with the fees (lots of closing fees!) and the investment performance was mediocre to poor at best (and this is not just the markets because we compared our performance at EJ to Vanguard/Schwab, and we are making much, much better returns in our other accounts). Be educated before you decide you want to invest.
