I played an IGF Junior Tour event at Etna Acres Golf Course in 2014. The golf course was built on what used to be an 80 acre farm. The staff was very nice. They were very polite and were offering advice on how to play the course and some strategy. The clubhouse is dated. It has one TV, the dining room feels dark, and the restrooms are not in good condition. The main reason I won't go back to Etna Acres is because the golf course is one of the worse I have EVER played. The layout is cheesy and gimmicky. There are multiple holes which have green complexes with less than 200 sq. feet of space to putt. The greens do not roll true, along with being very, very slow. The course is not manicured well, with many dead spots located around the course. There are no bunkers on the course because maintenance does not want to deal with sand. If you and your family are beginning golfers in which the condition of the course does not matter, then this course is great to be able to go out and have fun. But if you are a serious golfer and you want to play on pristine conditions, I would take my business elsewhere.
