We take our dogs here almost everyday...weather permitting. They've made a lot of improvements to this park over the years...added a pavilion for cover from rain and sunshine. The trees are maturing and offering more shade for humans and canines. Lots of area for the pooches to run and play catch with them. I like the separation of the smaller dogs from the larger dogs as well. Our furbabies love going to the dog park for we live downtown and have a very small yard for them at home. It's directly on the river so the view is nice, but the traffic can get a little annoying, especially when the loud motorcycles or vehicles go by. The "small dog" area is a little "swampy" sometimes after rain, but my dogs don't seem to mind it...they play in the puddles...and we will use the water hose provided at the park to rinse them off before we leave. The people we've met are always nice and we usually have interesting conversations while watching the dogs play. All in all, it's an awesome addition to our community and would love to see another put in somewhere...maybe on the hilltop somewhere...
