Tonala Mexican Restaurant

Formally known as El Jefe. I think it even still says it on the sign outside. Everything is pretty great here! The food is very good. The prices are really good. The portions are excellent! My only issue with this place is the workers all seem to conjugate around the same area right in the front. And sit at the first booth and watch you. The lady standing at the register just stared at us the entire time we ate! Extremely uncomfortable! There’s nothing like having someone stare at you while you eat. Very weird! Not sure why she couldn’t have found something to do.... Or just STOP STARING! Look at your phone like most people!

great food, great service. have been eating here for about 7 years and recommend it to everyone. when we have family come to visit from out of town we always take them here to eat and they love it.

Simply the best Mexican restaurant in this part of the state. Great food and service. The management is second to none. One of those "hidden gems"!
