This was an awesome rental experience. I did it all online. When I went to pick up the vehicle they let me choose between a few different options. I chose the 2017 Nissan Versa. It's only a 4 cylinder but it had AWESOME gas mileage. A 10 gallon tank that we had to fill just twice a day on our cross country journey. We went from Indiana to California and then to Florida and back to Indiana. I would never have been able to do this without the unlimited mileage that they offer. We didn't spend over $600 total in gas the whole trip. The car who we nicknamed Lucy needed the air conditioning recharged by the time we reached Texas the second time. Instead of having us wait for repairs, I made a phone call to Hertz and they had a replacement car waiting on us. In less than 20 minutes we were on the road again. This was my best experience renting a car and I would recommend Hertz to anyone.
**On another note we did have the oil changed in Calirfornia due to the amount of miles we had put on it. Hertz has an agreement eith Pep Boys and they did it for us free of charge to us. You can always call Hertz and find out where to take it or they can reimburse you for it later.
