I bought my first car a little over a month ago. It's a 2012 Dodge Avenger and I got a really good price on it. However, the night I went in to sign paperwork I didn't even deal with my salesman. He handed it off to someone else and they let me drive off the lot with the car without signing a contract or telling me what my mo they Payment would be. I've never bought a car before so I didn't know any better. The next day I got a text from Rodger Loveing saying that I needed to come back and sign papers. I told him I couldn't make it back to the dealer that night and asked if he could meet me somewhere. He said he couldn't. But he was sending the guy that neglected to have me sign papers the night before.
About two weeks after that I noticed that the passenger's side rear view mirror was coming out. The glass would have to be pushed back in from time to time. The cruise control wasn't working either. I called Rodger and he was able to get me in to get it fixed. They have me a loaner car to use too. It took them a week to finish. I took it in on a Wednesday and was contacted Friday to be told it wasn't even at Basney anymore. It was at the Dodge dealer on McKinley. I called Tuesday to check on it and was told he wasn't there but the receptionist would see what she could do. She called back 5 minutes later to tell me that Rodger said it was his day off and he'd call me in the morning. Wednesday he did call to say it was fixed. I have a hard time believing it took a week.
Today I have to go back yet again because they never had me sign the title papers to get my license plate. I'm a MI resident so the dealer can't sign for me. I fully intend to speak with a manager today. Three time to go back and sign paperwork is two time too many. This has been an awful experience. I don't plan to buy another car from them. It makes me not want to buy a dealer car ever.
